What Does the 1st House Rule?
The 1st house is the first of the twelve houses and the starting point of the entire chart. It begins at the Ascendant — the exact degree of the zodiac that was rising on the eastern horizon the moment you were born — and describes everything about how you show up in the world before intention, consideration, or performance enters the picture.

The Ascendant: The Cusp of the 1st House
The Ascendant (AC) — also called the rising sign — is the cusp of the 1st house and one of the three most important points in the natal chart, alongside the Sun and Moon.
