SoulBloom Studio ("we", "us", "our") operates the website soulbloomstudio.com — a free astrology tool platform providing birth chart calculators, moon phase calendars, retrograde tracking, and a personal life events journal.

What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide you with accurate astrological calculations. Here is exactly what we collect and why:

Data you provide directly:

• Date of birth — required to calculate your natal chart
• Time of birth — optional, used to calculate your Ascendant and house cusps
• Place of birth — used to determine your geographic coordinates for accurate calculations
• Life event titles, dates, categories, and descriptions — stored securely in your account
• Email address — only if you voluntarily sign up for updates or a premium account

Data collected automatically:

• Pages visited and time spent (via Google Analytics — anonymised)
• General geographic region (country/city level — not precise location)
• Browser type and device type (for technical optimisation)
• Referring website (how you found us)

Data we do NOT collect:

• We do not collect precise GPS location
• We do not collect payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe)
• We do not collect social media profile information
• We do not collect data from minors under 13

How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes only:

• Providing the service: your birth details are used to calculate planetary positions, house cusps, aspects, transits, and all other astrological outputs
• Improving the site: anonymous analytics help us understand which tools are most useful so we can improve them
• Communications: if you provide your email, we may send occasional product updates — you can unsubscribe at any time
• Processing payments: if you purchase a Deep Dive report, your payment is processed by Stripe — we receive only confirmation that payment was successful

Account Data & Your Chart

When you create a free account, your birth chart details and life journal entries are stored securely in our cloud database (Supabase). This allows your data to sync across all your devices and be recovered if you change browsers or devices.

What this means in practice:

• Your birth chart data (date, time, place) is stored on our secure servers and is only accessible to you when logged in
• Your journal entries are saved to your account and sync automatically across devices
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us
• We do not sell or share your personal birth data with third parties
• If you use the birth chart tool without an account, no data is stored — the chart is calculated in real time and not saved

Cookies & Analytics

We use the following cookies and tracking technologies:

• Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, where traffic comes from, and how long people stay. This data is anonymised and aggregated. Google Analytics sets cookies (typically named _ga, _ga_XXXXXXXX) that persist for up to 2 years. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
• Google AdSense: we display advertisements provided by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history. You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com
• Essential cookies: when you are logged in, your chart data and journal entries are stored securely in your account database. Anonymous visitors' calculation data is not stored

SoulBloom Studio is a free service supported by display advertising via Google AdSense. Advertisements are served by Google and may be personalised based on your browsing activity across the web.

We have no control over the specific ads shown. If you see an ad that is inappropriate or irrelevant, you can report it directly to Google using the "X" or "AdChoices" icon on the ad itself.

If you prefer to use SoulBloom without advertising, a premium ad-free plan is available.

Third-Party Services

SoulBloom Studio uses the following third-party services. Each has their own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics — website traffic analysis. Google Privacy Policy

• Stripe — payment processing for Deep Dive reports. Stripe handles all card data. We never see or store your payment details. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — geocoding your birth place to coordinates. Your place name is sent to Nominatim to retrieve latitude/longitude. OSM Privacy Policy
• Anthropic Claude API — used to generate personalised report text for Deep Dive reports. Birth data and event history are sent to Claude to generate your report. Anthropic's data handling applies. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may set cookies. Google Privacy Policy

Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we handle:

• Our website is served over HTTPS with SSL encryption
• API requests between your browser and our calculation server are encrypted in transit
• We do not store birth data or life journal entries on our servers beyond the duration of a calculation request
• Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified

No method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we do everything reasonable to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects you, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Right to deletion: request that we delete your personal data. Since most data is stored in your own browser, you can delete it yourself by clearing your browser's localStorage. For any server-side data, contact us and we will delete it within 30 days
• Right to rectification: request correction of any inaccurate data
• Right to portability: request your data in a portable format
• Right to object: object to our processing of your data for direct marketing
• GDPR (EU/UK users): you have the full rights described above under GDPR. Our lawful basis for processing your birth data is your explicit consent when you use our tools
• PDPA (Singapore users): we comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act
• CCPA (California users): we do not sell personal information. California residents may request disclosure of data collected

Children's Privacy

SoulBloom Studio is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
